At Maya's track meet

Annah was getting a little rambunctious at the track meet tonight - probably a mixture of no nap and being over stimulated seeing kids running all over - so she took out her energy attacking Zaheeda.

Throwing

We've been trying to figure out for months if Annah is right or left handed because she switches between both hands all the time while writing. We're not sure if she is ambidextrous or just confused. While playing in the water with Maya she is able to throw two balls at one time. I don't know if this has any real life practical applications, but it's pretty impressive nonetheless.

First Movie

Saturday Annah went to her first movie, Toy Story 3. She really liked the movie and even sat still through most of it. At first she wasn't quite sure what to think, because during the previews they showed scenes from the upcoming Narnia movie that scared her - what with that freaky ice witch or whatever she is... Finally the movie started and she saw all the characters she was familiar with from watching the DVD's with Maya, she settled down, fixated on the movie and scarfed popcorn with her sister.

All told, the movie was really good - we give it two thumbs up.

Bike Ride

Tonight we ventured over to Minneapolis on bikes and rode along Minnehaha to Lake Nakomis. The Pudy slept most of the trip but did wake up on the way back to throw leaves in the water with Maya.

Annah is getting too big for this stroller but she still likes riding in it. Boy we've put a lot of miles on this stroller.

This is Annah in our room no doubt doing something she is not supposed to.

Grocery shopping

Zaheeda wanted to stop at Whole Foods to see if they had any decent fish. Annah's Grandpa has got to get fishing so we can get some fish in the freezer and stop paying these outrageous prices at the store.

Annah mischief

This is Annah sneaking behind the guitar amp to play with the electrical cords. Of course she knows she's not supposed to do this which is why she has the big smile on her face.

The Pudy in the pool

Annah wasn't quite sure about getting back in the pool, she kept yellin, "Help me!!! Help me!!!" like some kind of damsel in distress when she hadn't even gotten her hair wet yet.

After awhile she warmed up it and was even practicing floating on her back and kicking her legs.

Eventually she decided it was time for a snack so she sat back and watched Maya swim for a while.

Running

Annah had her bikini swimming suit on this afternoon and was showing of her impressive running speed in the front yard. Does this sound like someone else we know?

Dinner at Sea Salt

Walked across the bridge to Minneapolis tonight for dinner at Sea Salt in Minnehaha Park for their $4.95 fish tacos. Mmmmmmm.... The food was good but the wait was a little long - apparently we weren't the only ones who opted to head to the park and enjoy what was the first sunny afternoon in two weeks. Fortunately they had a little jazz duet performing which made the wait pleasant.

The Pudy was grumpy and was more interested in the waterfall and the swings than having dinner.

Zaheeda was happy to get out of the house and a break from the kids

All wet

New wardrobe

Zaheeda dug out a box full of Maya's old summer clothes that now fit Annah. Being Annah is kind of clothes junkie this is kind of a big deal. Now she can change clothes about nine or ten times a day and still not empty the dresser drawer.

Sleeping through the night

Lately Annah has been sleeping nonstop til morning, which is new for her (and us.) If she keeps this up I think she's going to be ready for the big move out of the crib and into the other room.

Water fun

The Pudy and I rode to downtown Saint Paul this afternoon and Annah had a chance to play with the water sculpture along the riverfront. Fun fun fun!!!!!
