Ate a Bug

Annah was crawling around on the floor upstairs this afternoon and I think she ate an asian beetle. I saw her put it in her mouth and by the time I could get to her she had already pretty much swallowed it down. I checked online and other than being a nuisance asian beetles don't carry any kind of disease or anything - they may even be a good little source of protein.

3:30AM

This is Annah playing with rubber bands at 3:30AM. Isn't that a little bit late/early to be up playing with rubber bands you may ask? Answer: Yes... Yes it is.

Hummus

Annah, who would just as soon spit on her baby food than eat it really (and I do mean really) loves hummus. In fact, I'm not sure but I think we may have the first Jew in the family. Tonight Maya and I were having a little "pre-Lost" snack that included hummus and when we gave a little taste to Annah she lit up like a Christmas tree - or should I say a Menorah. Next time we're in the baby food isle we'll have to see if they have the Gerbers chickpea and garlic flavored baby food because I don't think she's going back to that bland old crushed carrots thing. How can a baby be expected eat that bland stuff anyway? Oyvey!

Rainy Day with The Pudy

Had a nice day enjoying the rain from the inside with Annah this afternoon - ahhh nothing like rain in February. She tried making a brazen escape from the playpen today by climbing on top of one of her play boxes and flipping over the edge. It didn't work. The box tipped over and she tumbled back into the pen landing flat on her back. You have to admire that kind of effort though.

When we headed out for our walk this afternoon we realized we'd forgotten Annah's mittens but I did have an extra pair of socks in the stroller so we improvised.
