After yesterdays run-in with that steep and terrifying slide Annah has developed a slight case of "slideophobia" - you can't get her on any slide now. Fortunately this fear does not extend to the monkey bars.

Annah had to stop at Minnehaha to go on the slide before heading home from our bike ride this afternoon. One of the slides she went on was a little too high and scared her, which turned out to be a good thing because then we didn't have to fight with her to leave.

Out for another ride

The Pudy slept for about and hour while riding this afternoon... She says she really likes going for rides but can't seem to stay awake for any of our trips.



Here's a picture from the Mendota Bridge. As you can see the water is pretty high and there is no riding to the Fort Snelling rest area any time soon unless you are prepared to spend some time in the Minnesota River, which I would imagine even given our early season thaw is still a bit nippy.

First bike ride for Annah

Took The Pudy out for a bike ride this afternoon and she fell asleep after ten minutes. I'm so happy she doesn't respond to the pull along like Maya did when she was little. Maya screamed like a siren every time we'd try putting her inside. Annah is more of a thrill seeker than Maya ever was.

Afternoon walk to the bus stop

We went out to for a walk and then headed over to meet Maya at the bus stop. Oh it was a nice day and The Pudy was happy to get out of the house.

Shopping at Herberger's

For Zaheeda's birthday we went to Herberger's today to see if we could find her an outfit. Though she didn't see anything that caught her eye Annah saw a number of different outfits she thought would look good on her. Annah didn't get anything though because she has more clothes than everyone in the house put together.

Toys

If you regularly read this blog you probably think Annah is nuts when it comes to clothes shopping. Well that is not all together true, she also loves shopping for toys. Here she is at Target with an Elmo coloring book and a big ball that caught her eye. She wouldn't let anyone carry either one for fear she would not get them back.

Fries

Annah and I had to run to Maple Grove this afternoon to get some guitar stuff (truth be told, the guitar stuff was for me, Annah was along for the ride). On the way back we stopped at McDonald's drive thru to grab something to eat. Annah was in the back sitting in her car seat and wanted some fries but they were too hot for her to eat, so I would take a fry out of the bag, hold it out the window for a few seconds so it could cool down then hand it to her to eat. People must have thought I was nuts driving down the highway sticking fries out the window.

Eating peanuts

When she ran out of peanuts she turned around and asked me for more, but in order for her to eat peanuts she has to keep her gloves off and I wanted her to put her gloves back on so I lied and said, "We don't have any more peanuts."


She didn't buy my lie and started looking in the compartment where I usually keep the peanuts...

Annah on Grand

This is Annah after stopping in for some pizza at Green Mill on Grand.

Up after 3 hour nap

Annah watching t.v. while only half awake. Nice thing about t.v. is you only have to be half awake to watch it.
