This afternoon was a beautiful day, probably the nicest of the year, so The Pudy and I headed downtown to take a look at the flood waters. As of now they seem to be receding but are expected to rise once all that snow in Northern MN melts. Annah was really well behaved but didn't take a nap which was a little strange.

This afternoon The Pudy and I went on a bike ride and along the way stopped to play on the swings. Anyone who knows Annah knows she loves the swings. It seems she's developed some courage over the winter too because last year she was afraid to go on the slide by herself and now she does it no problem.

This morning we headed downtown to see animals from the MN Zoo at the library. Annah got to see a lizard, desert fox, spider, hawk and a big snake. She wasn't afraid of any of them - well, maybe a little bit afraid of the snake.

This afternoon I had to run to Eagan to pick up some book mailers, so I took the girls along and on the way back we stopped at McDonald's so Annah could play on the indoor playground. Oh she had lots of fun! Maya was really nice and helpful by guiding Annah around and showing her how to get down the slide... What a good sister.

Here Annah is modeling the latest in her line of "going on the potty reward dresses" - every time she goes on the potty she gets a prize and lately she has been getting clothes. The fact of the matter is we need to buy her summer clothes any way so we're buying them now because it's a good incentive to get her to go on the potty... but she doesn't need to know that.

I think Annah has really turned the corner on her potty training. Today she went four times, two of which were completely of her own initiative. We've been bribing her with little toys from the dollar store so every time she goes she wants a prize. The way I look at it is these prizes are a lot cheaper than buying diapers.

We've been having some trouble with Annah lately. She's out of diapers, which is a good thing - however, she's not going potty on the toilet, which is a bad thing. She runs around the house in her fancy underwear peeing everywhere she goes. We fear this behavior may becoming what she considers her kind of lifestyle.

When it warms up Annah may find herself to be more of an "outside daughter."

Yesterday Zaheeda made muffins for breakfast. As the day went along we started noticing whole muffins were missing out of the pan and muffin tops were being discovered all over the house - in the bedroom, on the t.v. stand. Turns out Annah had been stealing muffins eating the stumps and discarding the tops. It's all pretty much contrary to Seinfeld.

It was a Princerella Christmas! ('Princerella' is a what Annah calls anything having to do with fairies, princesses, or Cinderella - sort of a contraction of the words princess and Cinderella). She got Princerella chair, pajamas, puzzle, slippers, etc. It was the best Christmas ever!
